# Filter a list by site, group, job or contract

> In Weplanify, the same filter bar narrows a list or a report down to a group of people: site, department, job, group, manager or contract type.

In Weplanify, the filter bar is found in absences, time entries, contracts, the cost analysis and payroll.

## Steps

1. Click the **Filters** button, then **+** (Add a filter).
2. Search for the criterion: department, site, job, group, manager, branch, contract type, active contract, hiring date…
3. Choose one or more values: a "Site: Entrepôt Rufisque" chip shows and the list updates.
4. Add more filters with **+**: they add up. A chip's cross removes its filter; the circular arrow removes them all.

## Good to know

- The number on the Filters button counts the active filters.
- Payroll-related criteria are only visible to people with payroll access.
- The values come from your [departments](https://weplanify.io/docs/configuration.structuration?lang=en), [sites](https://weplanify.io/docs/configuration.sites?lang=en) and [groups](https://weplanify.io/docs/employes.groupes?lang=en).
