# Manage day labourers: arrivals, days and payments

In Weplanify, a day labourer is a person paid by the day, without an employee contract. The **Day labourers** screen (**Time** menu) follows each site, day after day.

## Steps

1. The day before, [announce the need](https://weplanify.io/docs/journaliers.annoncer-un-besoin?lang=en) with **Plan tomorrow**.
2. In the morning, the site manager [records the arrivals](https://weplanify.io/docs/journaliers.enregistrer-une-arrivee?lang=en) on their phone, or the office adds them.
3. In the evening, they [finish the day](https://weplanify.io/docs/journaliers.pointage-du-soir?lang=en): departures and absentees.
4. [Validate the day](https://weplanify.io/docs/journaliers.valider-une-journee?lang=en): amounts are frozen and it moves to **To pay**.
5. [Pay](https://weplanify.io/docs/journaliers.payer?lang=en) one or several days and record the payment.

- **History** gives the [month's cost](https://weplanify.io/docs/journaliers.cout?lang=en) by site and by job.
- Employees clocked on these sites are not listed here: they are paid through their payslip.
