# Copy a previous week into the planning

> In Weplanify, copy one of the six previous weeks onto the week shown in a single click, when your rotations look alike from one week to the next.

In Weplanify, copying a week copies all the slots of a past week onto the week shown.

## Steps

1. Go to the week to fill.
2. Open the ⋯ menu at the top right, hover **Copy a week** and choose the source week among the six previous ones.
3. Check the [alerts](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.alertes?lang=en), then [publish](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.publier?lang=en).

## Good to know

- The copy adds to existing slots: nothing is erased.
- Only the week's slots are copied; the [usual week](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.planning-recurrent?lang=en) already shows on its own. Inactive employees are skipped and copies arrive as drafts.
- Current [filters](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.filtres?lang=en) limit the copy. For a few slots only: [Select → Copy to](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.selection-multiple?lang=en).
