# Offer an open slot

> In Weplanify, publish a slot without a name, for example extra help on Saturday: the employees it is offered to can take it from their phone.

In Weplanify, an open slot is a slot without an employee. It shows on the **Open planning** row, at the top of the grid.

## Steps

1. Open a [new slot](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.creer-un-creneau?lang=en).
2. Under **Who**, choose **Open slot**.
3. Set the number of **Positions to fill** with − and +, and, if needed, who it is **Offered to** (all employees by default).
4. Choose the days, schedule, site and job, then **Create** and [publish](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.publier?lang=en).

- The employees concerned see the slot in the [mobile app](https://weplanify.io/docs/application-mobile.planning?lang=en) and can take it.
- An open slot is also used to announce a [need for day labourers](https://weplanify.io/docs/journaliers.annoncer-un-besoin?lang=en).
