> In Weplanify, the planning says who works, when and where, week after week; the slots stay as drafts until you publish them to your employees.

In Weplanify, the planning (**Time → Planning** menu) gathers your teams' slots: a slot is an employee, a day, a schedule, a site and a job.

## Steps

1. Prepare your [schedules](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.horaires?lang=en) (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) and your [jobs](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.postes?lang=en).
2. Fill the week: [slot by slot](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.creer-un-creneau?lang=en), with the [usual week](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.planning-recurrent?lang=en), by [copying a week](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.copier-une-semaine?lang=en) or by [generating the week](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.generer?lang=en).
3. Check the [alerts](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.alertes?lang=en): leave, double bookings, understaffing.
4. [Publish](https://weplanify.io/docs/planning.publier?lang=en): employees receive their planning on the [mobile app](https://weplanify.io/docs/application-mobile.planning?lang=en).

## Good to know

- The **Hours** column compares planned hours with the contract's hours ("37 h 30 of 40 h"); going over shows in colour.
- The **Planned staff** row counts, day by day, the planned employees; a weak day is flagged.
- The planning is the reference for the [time clock](https://weplanify.io/docs/pointage?lang=en) and the [monthly payroll](https://weplanify.io/docs/paie.presence?lang=en).
