In Weplanify, as long as tracking is off, no overtime is counted, in time entries or in payroll.

## Steps

1. Open **Settings → Time and attendance → Overtime**.
2. Turn on **Enable overtime tracking**.
3. Set the **Weekly threshold**: beyond this number of hours per week, hours become overtime.
4. Choose the **Approval mode**: automatic (approved every week) or manual (a manager approves them).
5. Set the **Night range** (for example 22:00 → 06:00) to split day and night hours.

## Good to know

- A [site](https://weplanify.io/docs/configuration.sites?lang=en) can have its own threshold and night range; an employee can be left out of overtime tracking ([record](https://weplanify.io/docs/employes.fiche.pointage?lang=en)).
- Overtime shows in the [time clock report](https://weplanify.io/docs/pointage.rapport?lang=en) and goes into the [monthly payroll](https://weplanify.io/docs/paie.presence?lang=en).
